Dr Dre Denounces Abuse Claims in New “Surviving Compton” Movie

Rapper and record producer Dr Dre has been a well-known name in the music industry for over 20 years. He even produced a film based on his life story called “Straight Outta Compton.” However, this film failed to mention his ex-girlfriend Michel’le, who is an R&B star that dated Dr Dre in the 1990s. Why would Dr Dre fail to mention her since they have one son together?

According to Michel’le, Dr Dre abused her throughout their relationship. This eventually led her to abuse drugs as a result. A new Lifetime original movie based on Michel’le’s story of their life together has just come out. The movie is called “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge, & Michel’le.”

After Michel’le’s relationship with Dr Dre, she fell in love with Suge Knight and they have a child together. But it’s the same old story again when Knight abuses Michel’le too. So she ends up leaving Knight and goes on a journey to fix her life once and for all.

Dr Dre isn’t too thrilled about this new Lifetime movie. He claimed that he never abused Michel’le, which was why he sent a cease and desist letter to the producers of the movie at Sony Pictures. Dr Dre is threatening to sue Sony Pictures if they air the movie that shows him abusing Michel’le.

Part of the reason why Michel’le wanted this movie made was because Dr Dre completely left her out of his movie. Audiences even complained about this after seeing Straight Outta Compton. Dr Dre released an apologetic statement where he apologized to all the “women I’ve hurt.” Of course, he didn’t mention which women he was referring too.

Michel’le claims she just wants her story told the right way so that other women can learn from her experiences.
