President-elect Donald Trump is in good spirits since the Electoral College officially voted him in as the next President of the United States on Monday. So, on Tuesday, he conducted numerous meetings and took to Twitter to criticize former President Bill Clinton.
Clinton had apparently given an interview to a New York state weekly paper, and he told the interviewer that Trump does not know much. He then said, “one thing he does know is how to get angry, white men to vote for him.” However, the biggest dispute between them seems to be about who called who after the results of the presidential election were in.
Originally, Trump gave an interview shortly after the election where he claimed that Bill Clinton called him up the next day to congratulate him on his victory. But in Clinton’s recent interview, he said that Trump was the one who called him. This caused Trump to lash out against Clinton on Twitter by posting the following message: “Bill Clinton stated that I called him after the election. Wrong, he called me (with a very nice congratulations).”
Trump then said Clinton is the person who really “doesn’t know much.” The President-elect referred to Bill’s wife, Hillary Clinton, and the massive budget they had to spend on advertising in numerous swing states that they ended up losing. Of course, Hillary Clinton still ended up winning the popular vote in the general election. The current national vote count shows that she received at least 2.8 million more votes than Trump. But since this was an Electoral College election, Trump won because he won more states than Clinton. The biggest states that put him over the top were Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Exactly one month from Tuesday, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. Do you think Bill or Hillary Clinton will be there? Probably, not.
